Tarija, Bolivia
When I finally entered Bolivia I went straight to the Bus terminal and took a bus to Tarija. It is a real culture shock when someone enters a Bolivian terminal for the first time. They are shouting everywhere. It’s like a noisy club. “POTOSÍ, POTOSÍ, POTOSÍ” shouting from my right side, “LA PAZ, LA PAZ, A LAS ONCE” on my left. However they are nice, they help people to find the right office even when they don’t have tickets to the direction where I want to travel.
I didn't see the landscape because, I took a night bus, but at least I was able to rest on the bus. I arrived at Tarija at 5 am. It was dark and rainy, but it was too early to go to a hostel so I started walking in the city centre. It was fun to take lots of photos of the waking city.

Two years ago I met Lili in Cali, Colombia. She lives now in Tarija so I had the chance to visit her.
We met around 11, after I got some rest at the hostel. Finally there was no more rain. We had perfect weather for sightseeing. First we went to a place where we had the chance to try real authentic local food. People cooked food to raise money for a relative who was in hospital because of Covid. Later we visited a dam next to the city and we tried some local food again.

On the next day we went to San Lorenzo to visit Lili's dad and his family. San lorenzo is a nice small town twenty minutes from Tarija. It’s known from its white houses.

On my third day in Tarija we went hiking to the beautiful Mariqui Fall.
