Detour to Prague
I travelled through Prague at least ten times already, and somehow I never managed to actually visit this city. There had to be a devastating flood in Austria to finally spend a day in Prague. I was travelling From Hungary to Germany through Austria, but due to the flood all means of transport was blocked to the west. I was stranded in Vienna, and seemed quite hopeless to continue my way on the original route even if I would wait a day, so I decided to go to Prague first and from there I can probably reach Germany the next day.

So yeah, I ended up visiting Prague because a once-in-every-hundred-year Mediterranean cyclone hit the region. Probably not the best time. But the night when I arrived was actually quite nice. I started walking in the city, not particularly to find my hostel, but to get there eventually. I knew the direction more or less, but I couldn’t check the exact location because my internet wasn’t working for some reason. Once I started to get tired I thought I should ask someone. Should I ask a group of friends who just passed by or that couple there, or some people who are obviously tourists as well, or that lonely guy walking over there? I had all kinds of options for asking directions but then I heard two girls talking in spanish. So I was like why not surprise them with a Spanish question for direction. They were really nice. They decided to walk me to the hostel. It was super close but we went around in circles (they were definitely not the best with directions).
The next morning I went out to discover the centre in daylight as well. The rain was crazy though… It was like I would stand under a waterfall or something.

Prague is really nice. Prague is pretty. No wonder why so many people love it.
