First Low Point

When I arrived at Bogotá I loved everything. I enjoyed taking the bus, walking in the morning, buying stuff, and eating in any place. I walked every day at least 10 km to discover as many places as I could. But here in Medellín this is my second day and I haven't really done anything. I didn't thought it will come that soon, but I think here is my first culture shock.

I tried something Colombian for breakfast, but later when I went shopping I enjoyed being in a modern shopping centre. Just like at home, clothing stores, elevators, fast food restaurants, and a big grocery store where I could see products that I am familiar with. I bought some foods that I usually eat at home. I really missed my menu for breakfast with frankfurter or eggs.

At the accommodation in Bogotá I got breakfast every morning, but it was just fruits and some buttered bread, and Arepa. And actually I really like Arepa. It's made of cornflour, water and some oil. Simple but good. You can also buy at shops a semi prepared version, which you only have to bake for a few minutes in a pan.

Now that I'm ready with this post. I feel like I have energy again for exploring Medellín as well. Only if it wouldn't rain for an hour now. :/
