Jardín, Colombia

A few days ago I met a guy from Switzerland. We shared a room in Medellín. We talked briefly when he was packing. He was about to leave after one year of traveling. He gave me some good advice. One of them was that the most beautiful cities are the small ones in the countryside, so I asked him which was his favorite. He gave me a pretty long list, but now I got to see this one. Maybe next time I’ll visit more of them.

The bus ride from Medellín was pretty long considering that it looks very close on the map, but I shouldn't be surprised about that in Colombia. Through the mountains it is always slower, but I never mind, because the view is amazing. There was a City before Jardín, where we crossed the main square with the bus. I almost got off the bus because I liked the vibe so much. The square was full of people. Eating, drinking, sitting and talking. I really hoped that it’s going to be the same in Jardín. I didn’t have to be disappointed. I found there the same square with the same people, only that everything was a little bit nicer and a little bit bigger.

I enjoyed walking around between those cute colourful buildings. And I also enjoyed going for a run in the morning between the coffee fields. Budapest is great too and I was also running in some beautiful places in Austria as well, but I think this was the most amazing place for a run so far. Unfortunately I left this city very soon, on the next day already, with the most unconventional bus I’ve ever seen.
