Mendoza Mendoza is the 4th largest city in Argentína, and there are more than one reason to call it an intersting and special place. It is most known of its wine culture. This is the biggest wine region in South America. Near to the city is the Aconcagua, the highest mountain of America (6960 m). This area would be a desert, however, thanks to the irrigation system, there are green parks, lakes and 100 000 threes are providing nice shadow for the people living here. Street with irrigation Park in the city center street with irrigation The history of the city in a nutshell: Europeans took the land of the idigenious, stole the irrigation method, used them as slaves to build the system further, and with the free workcraft they provided cheap food for Buenos Aires. Ha maradtam volna még egy hetet lehetett volna raftingolni, lovagolni, túrázni, hegyet mászni, termálfürdőbe menni vagy múzeumot látogatni. I only spent two days here, which was enough to visit the wineyards, and the city center with its beautiful parks, but I didn't make the tours to the mountain, to Aconcagua, to the fameous thermal bath.
