Catarata Gocta

This time I didn’t complicate things. I booked a tour to the waterfalls right after I arrived. Probably it would be possible to reach the place on my own but I don’t think it would have been cheaper. I paid 70 Soles which included transport, entrance fee and lunch.

The nearest town to the waterfall is Cocachimba. This is where the bus took us from Chachapoyas. After the one hour drive there is only 5 more kilometres to walk. There are a lot of ups and downs but in general it is an easy walk.
