El Chaltén
El Chalten is a little village for tourists in the southern part of Patagonia. It was basically built for those tourists who came here to visit the Fitz Roy peaks. There would be quite a lot of other things to see, like lakes, waterfalls and many other mountains, but next to the Fitz Roy they look totally insignificant. I’m looking at those peaks right now, while writing these words, it is still amazing.

A 10 km long hiking path leads to the peaks however I somehow end up walking 25 during the day. It is an easy way. Only the last two km are really steep. Kids and old people can do it as well,a tour guide is not necessary.
