First time skiing

Most people would say that they don’t care about company events, they just want a good salary. Sure, but I kind of appreciate that at Exyte I had more fun at company events in three months than at my previous workplace in two years.

This weekend we went to Churwald, to a ski resort, we had accommodation in a nice Hotel. We had good dinners and we went sledding on saturday. The rest was basically free time, which meant for most of us skiing and for me it meant skiing for the first time in my life.

That was so much more fun than ever imagined. The first day my colleague showed me the basics and on the next day I went to the bunny hill to practice. A was slowly sliding down, turning to the left turning to the right. Go up, and come down again. “I’m good at this already.2 I thought. So I went to buy a ticket for the normal slopes, but the difference was unexpected. My braking skills were not good enough. I tried to do the same thing as I practiced but I kept falling. I kept falling and I forgot to close my pockets. That is how I made it an unforgettable first time. Lost my ticket, lost my phone, and at first I thought that I lost my wallet as well, but later I remembered that I put it in my inside Pocket.

Eventually I paid a cheap price for being stupid. My phone was found and My ticket was replaced for the rest of the day I went back to the bunny hill. That’s where I belong. But now I know even better what I should practice.
