Hungarian Election 2022

Dear European Friends,

I feel ashamed. I'm deeply sorry for the choices of the people of my country and I'm sorry for all the previous and future acts of our government.

When I woke up this morning I checked the news again.

This nightmare is real. This is the reality I'm living in and It is devastating. Viktor Orban won the elections for the fifth time.

It all started 12 years ago when Viktor Orban was elected for the second time after the 2008 crisis. He successfully blamed the current government back then. Fidesz won the 2010 election by landslide ⅔ majority. Right after he took office he had some questionable moves. In the next 4 years they changed among many the voting system in a way which favoured them, they changed the media law. They wrote a new constitution. Changed the members of the constitutional court. In the upcoming years Fidesz acquired the majority of written media, tv channels and the whole Public service media lost its freedom, they were only allowed to say what Fidesz allowed them. They demolished the system of checks and balances brick by brick.

Corruption hit an unimaginable level. Friends and family members of Viktor Orban quickly became the richest people of Hungary. One of their favourite ways of stealing money was building stadiums. While Viktor Orbán is a huge Football fan, he was paying his oligarchs by building overpriced Stadiums in every major Hungarian city including his village where he grew up. The Capacity of that stadium is twice as much as the number of inhabitants.

Furthermore they completely took away the financial freedom of Universities. They changed the teaching plan in primary and secondary schools while wages of teachers and professors stayed one of the lowest in Europe.

Healthcare was neglected as well. Healthcare expenditure fell from 7.5% to 6.4% in shares of the GDP in ten years. Doctors and nurses have low wages. Circumstances are bad. Waiting lists for patients are extremely long.

It is really hard to swallow for people who still use their brain, that the majority of the population is so easy to mislead. We are living in the same country but in two different dimensions.

Georg Soros is the evil who uses all his money to brainwash true hungarians. Brussels is governed by Georg Soros as well and they fight Hungary together to force us to be gay. In fact every member of the LMBTQ community wants to convince small children that being straight isn’t cool anymore. Every Syrian imigrant arrived to Europe to rape hungarian girls and to take away our culture and our jobs, however they don’t want to work they want to live on welfare.

We have been listening to that shit for 12 years now. And we are tired of it, but not the majority of us. The majority of Hungarians are okay with that and they believe in it. This hurts the most. This makes me feel hopeless. Right now I just want to get out of this, I'd like to go as far as I can.
