Császári Általános Iskola (Primary School) I collected the basic knowledge in the primary school of my village called Császár. Although it was a very small school I think I had some really good teachers.
Eötvös József Gimnázium, Tata I spent my high school years in one of the best schools in the county. I got accepted to the German bilingual class. I’m really glad that I had the chance to be in that class. I believe that without that, my life would have turned out differently. I hadn’t got german language certificate, without that I hadn’t been eligible for erasmus scholarship, without erasmus scholarship I hadn’t never join ESN I had not ever develop my english skills to this level. I know. Never say never, but it certainly made my life easier.
The first year at highschool when we learned only german was pretty hard for me. My brain is not that well suited for languages. I was suffering, however it quickly changed when we started to learn other subjects as well, like math, physics, geography, history. My classmates were surprised that I’m not that stupid after all. And the time I have qualified for the final of a national Geography contest everybody forgot that once I was the weakest member of the class. Next to my German skills I am also grateful to my Math teachers. I have got really good basis for the University.
Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Civil Engineering I am really proud that I learned on the best Technical University of the Country, however I hated every minutes of it. I was really motivated in the first year. I was thirsty for knowledge. Unfortunately my enthusiasm was killed quickly. I did not like the way they teached and the way they tested our knowledge. I was suffering a lot. I seriously considered quitting. I literally fled to Germany for an erasmus semester to escape this feeling.
Technische Universität Dresden My semester in Germany gave me new motivation and refreshed power to continue my studies. I learned a lot there. Not about civil engineering, although I had some really great classes. More importantly I learned about life itself. It opened a whole new world for me. I joined ESN right after I arrived in Hungary, so that I can continue to be part of that world.
Erasmus Student Network ESN is helping all over Europe to make the life of exchange students better by organising events and helping them to solve everyday issues or school related problems. Thanks to this organisation I have developed a lot. I will never forget when I was responsible for leading a group of 20-25 people, but I was too afraid to say. “Welcome everybody”. I blocked completely. As for today, It wouldn’t be a problem at all. I could do that with a hundred people as well. Of course I would still be a little bit nervous, if I had to make a speech, but I would manage it. I also got leadership experience in this organisation. I was part of the board as a PR coordinator.
Budapesti Műszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem, Építőmérnöki kar (continue) I have to thank ESN for finishing my studies as well. ESN made university a better place for me. I didn’t think about leaving it anymore. So I graduated in the year of 2018.
